A Letter from the Chief of Race:

Greetings Athletes, Coaches and Parents,

We’re looking forward to seeing you here in Revelstoke on Saturday Dec 17 2022.

Pre-ski

  1. Pre-skiing will be available on the courses on Friday, however the stadium will not be set up, (there will be signs indicating the approx location of start and finish areas). Revelstoke Nordic is hosting an annual lantern ski, (modified due to Covid) on Saturday evening and we expect a large number of visitors to the club during the evening, as such, please do not leave valuables in the stadium area or wax tents.
  2. Families visiting are welcome to ski but would require day passes to be purchased. Racers pass included in race fee.
  3. Please stay current with the local forecast and highway conditions. Plan your travel accordingly

Race Day

  1. Bib pickup will be available at the groomer shed between 0830 and 1030 on Saturday
  2. Parking is limited and our facility is likely to be popular on race day with non-race visitors enjoying our trails and accessing the backcountry. Please allow plenty of time before your race for parking, there is a drop off loop near the lodge, and a public shuttle bus is available
  3. Race maps are available on the club website – RACE MAPS
  4. Warm up and wax testing areas will be available while the race is in progress on roadway ramble and up main loop via the trail above the stadium, see map.
  5. Awards will be done differently than in previous years, we’re planning on rolling awards by age category, particularly for the Teck award ages.

Start Lists

  1. In accordance with OK Cup technical guidelines, athletes are not seeded, the draw is random.
  2. Start list will be available by Friday evening.

We’re looking forward to seeing you soon!

The Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club would like to thank our local sponsors for this race:

Nordic News: February 10th, 2017

February 10th, 2017
Greetings Nordic Folk!
It’s a big weekend at our club as we are hosting an OK Cup for racers of all ages from around our region.  If you are a racer or the parent of a racer, you have probably already read the race notice.  If you are not racing, please be sure to read the details in this letter because things will busy at the RNSC!
Okanagan Cup XC Race Starts Tomorrow!

There are two days of races (Feb 11-12th), and while this promises to be lots of fun for everyone, there will be heavy traffic on the trails and in the parking lot.  There will be parking lot attendants there to help, and please be aware that only vehicles with 4 or more passengers will be allowed to use the parking lot.

Take the Free Shuttle!  We ask members and racers to please make use of the free shuttle available from the Big Eddy Fuel Station (Hwy 23 S/ TCH).  It will leave the fuel station every 30 minutes from 7:30am to 2:00pm.  (Returning from the lodge at 30 minute intervals starting at 7:45am.)

The Power of Volunteers!
The RNSC runs on volunteer power.  In advance of the big race this weekend, we want to thank the race organizers and the volunteers who will line the race course for their contributions and preparations.  We also want to thank the ski league volunteers and our volunteer coaches who give their time on weeknights and weekends to make Nordic skiing fun (and fast!) for our club members.
