October 24th, 2017

Hello to the Nordic Folk of Revelstoke!

As the snow gathers on our local peaks, there are a few timely Nordic items that we wanted to bring to your attention:

Brushing Party #2: A Call for Volunteers on October 28th

The RNSC is hoping that more volunteers will come out for a second day of trail preparations and brushing.  Volunteers will gather on Saturday, October 28th at 10am.  There will be coffee and treats supplied, but bring a lunch if you plan to stay a little later in the day.  If you have a chainsaw or brush saw, it would be great if you could bring it along, but the club does have equipment you can use.  If you think you can help, please contact Duane Dukart at [email protected] or you can text him at 250-814-4560.

Youth Programs Update: Blaze a trail with Trailblazers! (Ages 10-15)

For the 2017/18 ski season, the RNSC will be running a Trailblazers program!  This is a program for skiers aged 10 through 15, who want exposure to adventure activities (e.g. avalanche awareness and environmental survival). Skiers will also be learning about technique development for the recreational skier.  Sessions are Saturdays 9:45 am to 12:00 pm. Start date is December 2, 2017. Cost is $125, and registration for this program (and all of our other programs) is still open at Zone4: Registration Form.
