Adult lessons: It’s never too late to teach an old dog new tricks!

There’s no sense in denying, we’ve all watched the Ski League kids ski around and thought, “By golly, that looks like so much fun, and they’re so good at skiing!”

The good news is that learning new skills and skiing with others is always fun, no matter what your age!  We have adult ski lessons and programs for a wide range of abilities.

We have beginner lessons that start in the New Year.  January 4, 11, 18, 25 is classic technique, and February 1, 8, 15, 22 is skate technique.  Cost is $60 for 4 sessions.

We have intermediate to advanced lessons that are technique-focused.  There are two sessions offered each week to choose from–Tuesdays 7-8:30pm, or Thursdays 12:30-2pm.  Sessions start January 5th.  Cost is $125 for 10 sessions, or $75 for 5 sessions.

There are one-day clinics to brush up on technique.  They will be offered on Sunday January 17th OR Sunday February 14th, 2016. January 17th will run from 1 – 3pm for classic; 3:30 – 5pm for skate. February 14th will run from 10am – 12pm for classic; 1 – 3pm for skate. Cost is $20 per session.

Registration for all lessons and clinics is at zone4.

Wednesday evenings, 7-8:30pm, is open training for adults–a coach-directed training session with a fitness focus.  Once a month, Headlamp Heroes takes place instead of open training.  Free for members, trail user fees apply to non-members.

Kal-West Loppet Series

Loppets are all about participation and pushing yourself to do a longer distance ski. Check out team category options, or do it solo with a friend and finish together!  Enjoy festivities, food, and fun while having a great ski!

Ski in 4 of the 5 loppets in the series and you will be eligible for a participation prize. If you are the competitive type, points for your top three best finishes will determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each age category, male and female. Challenge yourself either against others, or to complete four (or more) loppets, or both. Support our local ski clubs, organizers, and volunteers, but most importantly, have fun!
